We all face moments in life when it feels like everything around us—and even the voices in our own heads—are telling us to stop. Those moments of doubt can feel overwhelming, like little adversaries constantly questioning whether we should keep crafting our diamonds, the gems of potential that will further us into who we are truly called to be.
But how do we find the courage to keep moving forward when those doubts seem louder than ever? The key lies in shifting our focus and values from what’s outside of our control to what is within. The more we attach our value and self-worth to things we cannot control, the more those external factors control us. So, how do we place value on what we cannot see—the potential within ourselves, the future that has yet to unfold?
Building a Future with Blindfolds On
Moving forward often requires us to take steps into the unknown, as if we’re building our future with blindfolds on. We can’t always see the full path ahead, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t take those steps. The courage to keep going, despite the uncertainty, comes from trusting the process and understanding that every step forward—no matter how small—brings us closer to our destination.
We may not see the immediate results, but the journey is just as important as the destination. It’s about having faith that each effort, each act of perseverance, is laying the foundation for something bigger and greater than what we can currently perceive.
Pushing Beyond Doubts and Naysayers
There will always be doubts—whether they come from within ourselves or from the naysayers around us. People may not understand your vision or your calling, and that’s okay. What matters is that you understand it. You need to be your biggest advocate, even when no one else believes in you.
Burn the boats—get rid of any fallback plan that would let you retreat from your dreams. When you take away the option to turn back, you’re forced to push forward. It’s not about avoiding failure; it’s about committing to the process and trusting that growth often happens through adversity.
Finding the Courage to Keep Moving Forward
Courage doesn’t mean you never feel fear or doubt—it means you feel them and move forward anyway. Courage comes from the deep belief that what you’re working toward is worth it, even if you can’t see the full picture yet.
Every diamond starts as coal, enduring pressure and time before it becomes something precious. So too will your efforts bear fruit, but only if you keep going. Remember, progress isn’t always visible, and it isn’t always linear. But with each step forward, you’re crafting a future that aligns with your purpose and calling.
So, how do we find the courage to keep moving forward? By trusting ourselves, burning the boats, and valuing the unseen potential within us. The journey may be challenging, but the rewards on the other side are worth every step. Keep crafting your diamonds, and don't let the doubts dim your shine.
